GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. James C. King, U.S. Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as the director, National Imagery and Mapping Agency, Bethesda, Md. King is currently serving as acting director, National Imagery and Mapping Agency, Bethesda, Md.
King was born on March 18, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
