NAVY FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Rear Adm. Scott A. Fry, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as director for Operations, J3, Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Fry is currently serving as commander, Cruiser Destroyer Group EIGHT, Norfolk, Va.
Fry was born Oct. 19, 1949, in Bellefonte, Pa.
