GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the president has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Donald L. Kerrick for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as assistant to the chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington, D.C. Kerrick is currently serving as deputy assistant to the president for National Security Affairs, White House Staff, Washington, D.C.
