GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Charles R. Holland, U.S. Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as vice commander, United States Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Holland is currently assigned as commander, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla.
