U. S. military equipment and personnel will be represented at this year's Paris International Air Show June 13 - 20. Various models of U.S. military aircraft and equipment, and approximately 200 aircrew and support personnel from bases in Europe and the United States are scheduled to attend.
The Paris International Air Show is one of the premier events of its type in the world. U.S. military participation contributes to a number of U.S. security and foreign policy interests. The show promotes standardization and interoperability of equipment with NATO allies and other potential coalition partners, as well as highlights the strength of U.S. commitment to the security of Europe. It also affords a large international audience the opportunity to see what kind of equipment U.S. industry is producing that will be critical for future military operations.
