GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. Walter S. Hogle Jr. for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as commander, Fifteenth Air Force, and director, Fifteenth Air Force Air Combat Operations Staff, Travis Air Force Base, Calif. Hogle is currently assigned as vice commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
