GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. Hal M. Hornburg for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as vice commander, Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va. Hornburg is currently assigned as commander, Ninth Air Force, Air Combat Command, and commander, U.S. Central Command Air Forces, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.
