GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Gen. Lester L. Lyles, for appointment to the grade of general with assignment as commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
Lyles is currently assigned as vice chief of staff, United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
