FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Barry C. Black, Chaplains Corps, for appointment as chief of Chaplains and to the grade of rear admiral (upper half).
Black is currently assigned as deputy chief of Chaplains/deputy director of Religious Ministries, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
