GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Bruce B. Knutson Jr. for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as commanding general, Marine Corps Combat Development Command.
Knutson is currently serving as the commanding general, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
