GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT - HINSON
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Maj. Gen. Robert C. Hinson, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy commander in chief, United States Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Neb.
Hinson is currently assigned as commander, Fourteenth Air Force, Air Force Space Command; and component commander, United States Air Force Space Operations, United States Space Command, Vandenberg AFB, Calif.
