GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Peter M. Cuviello for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as director of information systems for Command, Control, Communications and Computers, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Washington, D.C.
Cuviello is currently serving as the commanding general, U. S. Army Signal Center and Fort Gordon, Fort Gordon, Ga.
