GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Robert W. Noonan for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy chief of staff for Intelligence, U. S. Army, Washington, D.C.
Noonan is currently serving as the commanding general, U. S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, Va.
