GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Maj. Gen. Tome H. Walters Jr. for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as director, Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
Walters is currently serving as principal assistant deputy under secretary of the Air Force (International Affairs) at the Pentagon.
