GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Army Lt. Gen. Daniel J. Petrosky for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as chief of staff, U.S. European Command, Stuttgart, Germany.
Petrosky is currently serving as the commanding general, Eighth U.S. Army and chief of staff, United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command/U.S. Forces Korea, Yong San, Korea.
