GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas R. Case for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy commander in chief and chief of staff, United States Pacific Command. Case is currently assigned as commander, Alaskan Command, United States Pacific Command; commander, Eleventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces; and commander, Alaskan NORAD Region, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska.
