GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Bryan D. Brown for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as commanding general, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C. Brown is currently serving as the commanding general, Joint Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.
