GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Gregory S. Newbold, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as director for operations, J-3, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
