Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Marine Corps Reserve Brig. Gen. Jack W. Bergman for appointment to the grade of major general. Bergman is currently serving as commanding general, Fourth Marine Aircraft Wing, New Orleans, La.
