FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Navy Rear Adm. Malcolm I. Fages for appointment to the grade of vice admiral with assignment as deputy chairman, Military Committee, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Brussels, Belgium. Fages is currently serving as director, Submarine Warfare Division, N77, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
