GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Maj. Gen. Richard E. Brown III for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy chief of staff for personnel, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Brown is currently serving as commander, Air Force Personnel Center, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.
