Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. John B. Sylvester for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as commander, Stabilization Force, Bosnia. Sylvester is currently serving as the chief of staff, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va.

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army National Guard Col. Marylin J. Muzny for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Muzny is currently serving as the senior policy advisor, Reserve Forces Policy Board, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington, D.C.
