Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced today the following assignments:
Navy Rear Adm. (selectee) Brian M. Calhoun, is being assigned as director for Operations, J3, U.S. European Command. Calhoun is currently serving as commander, Carrier Group Four and commander, Carrier Striking Force.
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (selectee) Robert D. Hufstader, Jr., is being assigned as medical officer to the Marine Corps, Washington, D.C. Hufstader is currently serving as commander officer, Naval Hospital, Pensacola, Fla.
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (selectee) Nancy J. Lescavage, is being assigned as assistant chief for Healthcare Operations, MED-02, BUMED and director of the Nurse Corps, Washington, D.C. Lescavage is currently serving as deputy assistant Chief for Healthcare Management and Plans, MED-03, BUMED, Washington, D.C.
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (selectee) Alan S. Thompson, is being assigned as commander, Defense Supply Center, Columbus, Ohio. Thompson is currently serving as Strategic Studies Group fellow, Naval War College, Newport, R.I.
