GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Colby M. Broadwater III for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy commander, Joint Sub Regional Command Centre, Allied Command Europe. Broadwater is currently serving as acting commanding general, First U.S. Army, Fort Gillem, Ga.
