NATIONAL GUARD AND RESERVE MOBILIZED AS OF MAR. 6

This week the Army and the Marine Corps announce increases of 91 and 22 reservists respectively on active duty in support of the partial mobilization, while the Air Forces announces a decrease of 992 fewer reservists. The net collective result is 891 fewer reservists than last week.

Total number currently on active duty in support of the partial mobilization for the Army National Guard and Army Reserve is 25,822; Naval Reserve, 10,597; Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, 35,731; Marine Corps Reserve, 4,409; and the Coast Guard Reserve 1,819. This brings the total Reserve and National Guard on active duty to 78,378 from 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and individual augmentees.

At any given time, services may mobilize some units and individuals while demobilizing others, making it is possible for these figures to either increase or decrease.

A cumulative roster of all National Guard and Reserve who are currently on active duty can be found at http://www.defenselink.mil/news/Mar2002/d20020306ngr.pdf.
