GENERAL OFFICER ASSIGNMENTS

Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Eric K. Shinseki announced today the assignments of the following officers:

Maj. Gen. Charles H. Swannack, Jr., commander, Multinational Division (North), Stabilization Force-11, Task Force Eagle, Operation Joint Forge, to commanding general, 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C, with a report date to be determined.

Maj. Gen. Robert Wilson, chief, Office of Military Cooperation, Cairo, Egypt, to commanding general, 7th Infantry Division (Light) and Fort Carson, Colo., with a report date to be determined.

Maj. Gen. John R. Wood, director of strategy, plans and policy, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C., to commanding general, 2d Infantry Division, Eighth U.S. Army, Korea, with a report date to be determined.
