Army Chief of Staff Eric K. Shinseki announced today that Army Maj. Gen. James M. Dubik is being assigned as director for joint experimentation, J-9, U.S. Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, Va. Dubik is currently serving as commanding general, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Army Reserve Col. Steven J. Hashem for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Hashem is currently serving as commander, 2d Psychological Operations Group, Cleveland, Ohio.
