FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Rear Admiral John A. Lockhard, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the
grade of vice admiral and assignment as Commander Naval Air Systems Command in
Arlington, Virginia. Rear Admiral Lockhard is currently serving as Program
Executive Officer for Tactical Aircraft Programs in Arlington, Virginia.
Rear Admiral Lockhard was born July 30, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama.
