GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Army Lt. Gen. Paul T. Mikolashek for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment as the inspector general, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Washington, D.C. Mikolashek is currently serving as the commanding general, Third U.S. Army and commander, U.S. Army Forces Central Command, Fort McPherson, Ga.
