FLAG AND GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced that Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (selectee) Gregory R. Bryant is being assigned as deputy director, Fleet Readiness Division, N43B, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. Bryant is currently serving as commander, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
BRIGADIER GENERAL
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Army National Guard Col. Clarence M. Agena for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Agena is currently serving as the assistant adjutant general, Hawaii Army National Guard, Honolulu, Hawaii.
