GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUCEMENT

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Army National Guard Col. Brett L. Hanke for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Hanke is currently serving as the commander, Engineer Brigade, 35th Infantry Division, Cape Girardeau, Mo.
