GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Jeffery L. Arnold has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Arnold is currently serving as the assistant judge advocate general for Operations (individual mobilization augmentee), U.S. States Army, Rosslyn, Va.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Robert M. Carrothers has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Carrothers is currently assigned to the Army Reserve Control Group (inactive status), St. Louis.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Michael G. Corrigan has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Corrigan is currently serving as the commander, 1st Brigade and assistant division commander, 78th Division (Training Support), Edison, N.J.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. George R. Fay has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Fay is currently serving as the deputy commander (individual mobilization augmentee), U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, Va.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. John R. Hawkins III has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Hawkins is currently serving as the deputy chief, public affairs (individual mobilization augmentee), U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Michael K. Jelinsky has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Jelinsky is currently serving as the deputy commander, 88th Regional Support Command, Fort Snelling, Minn.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Terrill K. Moffett has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Moffett is currently serving as the deputy commander, 91st Division (Training Support), Dublin, Calif.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Paul D. Patrick has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Patrick is currently serving as the deputy director for strategic initiatives, J-5 (individual mobilization augmentee), The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Harry J. Philips, Jr., has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Philips is currently assigned to the Army Reserve Control Group (inactive status), St. Louis..

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Jerry W. Reshetar has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Reshetar is currently serving as the deputy commander, 19th Theater Support Command (CONUS augmentation), Des Moines, Iowa.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Stephen B. Thompson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Thompson is currently serving as the assistant division commander, 84th Division (Institutional Training), Milwaukee.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Stephen D. Tom has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Tom is currently serving as the assistant chief of staff, G-5 (individual mobilization augmentee), Eighth U.S. Army, Korea.

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. George W. Wells, Jr., has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Wells is currently serving as the chief of staff, 21st Theater Support Command, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Robert J. Williamson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Williamson is currently serving as the deputy commander, 416th Engineer Command, Darien, Ill.

BRIGADIER GENERAL

Army Reserve Col. Charles J. Barr has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Barr is currently serving as the chief of staff, 3d Corps Support Command (CONUS augmentation), Des Moines, Iowa.

Army Reserve Col. David N. Blackledge has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Blackledge is currently serving as the commander, 354th Civil Affairs Brigade, Riverdale Park, Md.

Army Reserve Col. Brian J. Bowers has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Bowers is currently serving as the commander, 322d Civil Affairs Brigade, Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

Army Reserve Col. Edwin S. Castle has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Castle is currently serving as the commander, 154th Legal Support Organization, Alexandria, Va.

Army Reserve Col. Oscar S. DePriest IV has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. DePriest is currently serving as the commander, 309th Combat Support Hospital, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.

Army Reserve Col. Mari K. Eder has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Eder is currently serving as the senior policy advisor, Reserve Forces Policy Board, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington, D.C.

Army Reserve Col. Dennis P. Geoghan has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Geoghan is currently serving as the legal advisor, United States Army Peacekeeping Institute, Center for Strategic Leadership, Carlisle Barracks, Pa.

Army Reserve Col. Alan E. Grice has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Grice is currently serving as the commander, 7th Brigade, 100th Division (Institutional Training), Fort Knox, Ky.

Army Reserve Col. Paul F. Hamm has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Hamm is currently serving as the chief of staff, 90th Regional Support Command, North Little Rock, Ark.

Army Reserve Col. Philip L. Hanrahan has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Hanrahan is currently serving as the commander, 1st Brigade, 100th Division (Institutional Training), North Little Rock, Ark.

Army Reserve Col. Christopher A. Ingram has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Ingram is currently serving as the deputy chief of staff for operations, 63d Regional Support Command, Los Alamitos, Calif.

Army Reserve Col. Janis L. Karpinski has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Karpinski is currently serving as the chief of staff, 81st Regional Support Command, Birmingham, Ala.

Army Reserve Col. John F. McNeill has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. McNeill is currently serving as the deputy commander, 350th Civil Affairs Command, Pensacola, Fla.

Army Reserve Col. William Monk III has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Monk is currently serving as the assistant division commander (support), 98th Division (Institutional Training), Rochester, N.Y.

Army Reserve Col. Gary M. Profit has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Profit is currently serving as the deputy chief, army reserve, Office of the Chief, Army Reserve, Washington, D.C.

Army Reserve Col. Douglas G. Richardson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Richardson is currently serving as the commander, 8th Brigade (Training Support), 104th Division (Institutional Training), Fort Lewis, Wash.

Army Reserve Col. Michael J. Schweiger has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Schweiger is currently serving as the chief of staff, 311th Corps Support Command, Los Angeles.

Army Reserve Col. Richard J. Sherlock, Jr., has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Sherlock is currently serving as the director, Army Strategic Planning Board, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3, Washington, D.C.

Army Reserve Col. Charles B. Skaggs has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Skaggs is currently serving as the chief of staff, 416th Engineer Command, Darien, Ill.

Army Reserve Col. Richard M. Tabor has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Tabor is currently serving as the chief of staff, 7th Army Reserve Command, Germany.

Army Reserve Col. Phillip J. Thorpe has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Thorpe is currently serving as the assistant chief of staff, G-3, 9th Theater Support Command (CONUS augmentation), Fort Belvoir, Va.

Army Reserve Col. Ennis C. Whitehead III has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Whitehead is currently serving as the chief of staff, U.S. Army Reserve Readiness Command, Fort Jackson, S.C.
