GENERAL OFFICER ASSIGNMENTS AND PROMOTIONS

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Eric K. Shinseki announces the assignment of the following officers:

Maj. Gen. David H. Huntoon, Jr., director of Strategy, Plans and Policy, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C., to commandant, U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pa., with a report date to be determined.

Maj. Gen. Alan W. Thrasher, deputy chief of staff for Developments, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va., to commanding general, U.S. Army Cadet Command, Fort Monroe, Va., with a report date to be determined.

BRIGADIER GENERAL

Brig. Gen. (Promotable) Robert W. Mixon, Jr., deputy commanding general and assistant commandant, U.S. Army Armor Center and Fort Knox, Fort Knox, Ky., to deputy chief of staff for Developments, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va., with a report date to be determined.

Brig. Gen. Philip D. Coker, assistant division commander (Maneuver), 2d Infantry Division, Eighth United States Army, Korea, to assistant deputy chief of staff for Developments, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va., with a report date to be determined.

Brig. Gen. Robert E. Durbin, assistant division commander (Support), 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, to deputy director, Program Analysis and Evaluation, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C., with a report date to be determined.
