DEFENSE DEPARTMENT IDENTIFIES ARMY CASUALTY
The Department of Defense announced today that Pfc. Marlin T. Rockhold, 23, of Hamilton, Ohio, was killed on May 8, 2003. Pfc. Rockhold was directing traffic when he was struck by a sniper's bullet.
Rockhold was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized), Fort Stewart, Ga.
The incident is under investigation.
