GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT

Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has nominated Lieutenant General John E. Miller, United States Army, for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as Deputy Commanding General, United States Army Training and Doctrine Command. Since July 1993, he has served as the Commanding General, United States Army Combined Arms Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Lieutenant General Miller was born on May 8, 1941, in Paragould, Arkansas.
