The remains of the two Marines previously unaccounted for have been recovered
from the rubble that once was the Federal office building in Oklahoma City.
Four other Marines and a DoD civilian were injured in that catastrophic
explosion April 19.
The remains of Captain Randolph A. Guzman, 28, the recruiting station executive
officer from Castro Valley, Calif., and Sgt. Benjamin L. Davis, 29, an
operations clerk and native of Oklahoma City, were found at their recruiting
station posts in the building, April 24.
The four Marines and one DoD civilian injured in the bombing have been treated
and released from local hospitals.
Injured were: Gunnery Sergeant Earl A. Bussell, 38, Council Bluffs, Iowa;
Gunnery Sergeant Paul K. Cooper, 35, Howard, Wis; Barbara J. Hedrick, 32, a
civilian computer systems operator from Oklahoma City; Staff Sergeant Jack R.
Jocsing, 30, Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Captain Michael R. Norfleet, 29, Richmond,
Va.
The personnel are assigned to U.S. Marine Corps Recruiting Station Oklahoma
City, which was located on the sixth floor of The New Federal Building on 200
NW 5th Street.
The recruiting station has been located in the federal building since April
1977, where it served as the headquarters for more than 50 Marines, officer
selection officers and civilians located throughout the state of Oklahoma and
the southern half of Kansas.
