GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Major General George K. Muellner, United States Air Force, for
appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as Principal
Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Department of the
Air Force, Pentagon, Washington DC. General Muellner is currently assigned as
Director, Joint Advanced Strike Technology Program, Assistant Secretary of the
Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition), Arlington, Va.
General Muellner was born July 10, 1943, in Chicago, Ill.
