Flag Officer Assignment

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced that Navy Rear Adm. John W. Townes III is being assigned as deputy chief of Naval Personnel/commander, Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tenn. Townes is currently serving as vice chief of Naval Education and Training Command, Pensacola, Fla.
