Flag Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Navy Rear Adm. John G. Cotton for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and assignment as chief of Naval Reserve, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Cotton is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of naval operations, Warfare Requirements and Programs, N7R, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
