DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today that Staff Sgt. David S. Perry, 36, of Bakersfield, Calif., died on Aug. 11 in Balad, Iraq of injuries suffered in Baquabah, Iraq, on Aug. 10. Perry was inspecting a suspicious package when it exploded and fatally injured him.
Perry was assigned to 649th Military Police Company, U.S. Army National Guard, Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif.
