DoD Identifies Army Casualty

     The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

      Staff Sgt. Taft V. Williams, 29, of New Orleans, La., was killed on August 12 near Ar Ramadi, Iraq.  Williams was in a convoy when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device.  Williams died of his injuries.

 

     Williams was assigned to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colo.
