General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. John M. Curran for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as director, Futures Center, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va. Curran is currently serving as the commanding general, United States Army Aviation Center and Fort Rucker, Fort Rucker, Ala.
