DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was
ssupporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Ariel Rico, 25, of El Paso, Texas, was killed on Nov. 28 in Mosul, Iraq.
i Rico died of injuries sustained during an enemy mortar attack. Rico was assigned to 3rd Battalion,
320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), based in Fort Campbell,
Ky.
The incident is under investigation.
