DoD Identifies Army Casualty

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

            Spc. Aaron J. Sissel, 22, of Tipton, Iowa, was killed on Nov. 29 in Haditha, Iraq.  Sissel was traveling in a convoy when his vehicle was hit by enemy fire.  The Soldier died as a result of his injuries.

            Sissel was assigned to the 2133rd Transportation Company, Army National Guard, based in Centerville, Iowa.

            The incident is under investigation.
