DoD Identifies Army Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

 

The soldiers were killed on Dec. 22 in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck their convoy.  Killed were: 

 

1st Lt. Edward M. Saltz, 27, U.S. Army Reserve, of Bigfork, Mont., and

 

Pfc. Stuart W. Moore, 21, of Livingston, Texas. 

 

Both Soldiers were assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Armored Division, based in Giessen, Germany.

 

The incident is under investigation.
