FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Rear Admiral Alexander J. Krekich, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the
grade of vice admiral and assignment as Commander Naval Surface Force, U.S.
Pacific Fleet in San Diego, California. Rear Admiral Krekich is currently
serving as the Director, Surface Warfare Division, N86, Office of the Chief of
Naval Operations, the Pentagon, Washington, DC.
Rear Admiral Krekich was born March 19, 1943 in Passaic, New Jersey.
