FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Vice Admiral Richard C. Allen, U.S. Navy, to be placed on the retired
list in his current grade. Vice Admiral Allen is scheduled to retireApril 1,
1996 after completion of more than thirty-six years of active service. He is
currently serving as Commander Naval Air Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet in Norfolk,
Virginia.
