DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Pfc. William R. Strange, 19, of Adrian, Ga., died April 2, in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated where he was setting up an observation point. Pfc. Strange was assigned to the Armys 91st Engineer battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

The incident is under investigation.
