PRESIDENT NOMINATES NEW CINCPAC
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Adm. Joseph W. Prueher, U.S. Navy, for reappointment to the grade of
admiral and assignment as Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Pacific Command, in
Honolulu, Hawaii. Adm. Prueher is currently serving as Vice Chief of Naval
Operations in the Pentagon.
Adm. Prueher was born Nov, 25, 1942, in Nashville, Tenn.
