DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sgt. 1st Class William W. Labadie Jr., 45, of Bauxite, Ark., died April 7, in Baghdad, Iraq, when his camp was attacked by individuals using rockets and small arms fire. Labadie was assigned to the Army National Guards Troop E(-), 151st Cavalry Squadron, 39th Infantry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, from Marianna, Ark.

The incident is under investigation.
